ABOUT SIGMA PI PHI

The purpose of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity since its inception is reflected in the words of the Preamble to its constitution: Whereas it seems wise and good that men of ambition, refinement and self-respect should seek the society of one another, both for the mutual benefit and to be an example of the higher type of manhood; Be it resolved that a Society be organized for the purpose of binding men of like qualities into a close, sacred fraternal union, that they may know the best of one another, and that each in this life may to his full ability aid the other and by concerted action bring about those things that seem best for all that cannot be accomplished by individual effort.

Each member of Sigma Pi Phi is committed to upholding the principles upon which the Fraternity was founded. Each member strives to enhance the brilliance and sweep of its beacon of light and add ever more luster to its extraordinary history as a testament to its dedication and excellence.

Included among its past members are illustrious men such as Martin Luther King Jr., W.E.B. Du Bois, Carter G. Woodson, Charles R. Drew, Percy L. Julian, Ralph J. Bunch, Roy O. Wilkins, John Hope Franklin, William H. Hastie, James Weldon Johnson, Daniel Hale Williams, Benjamin E. Mays, Paul R. Williams, Vernon E. Jordan, Jr., A. Leon Higginbotham, Whitney M. Young, Elijah Cummings, Ulysses S. Kay, Arna Bontemps, Charles S. Johnson, John R. Lewis, and the list of its renowned members continues to grow.

Boulé Foundation

Donations

The Office of the Grand Boulé on behalf of the Boulé Foundation is pleased to announce that charitable donations may now be made online for Incremental Giving, Boulé Scholars Program, and Legacy Award Programs.

Members and Friends of the Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity have an opportunity to make substantial, tax-deductible contributions to the Boulé Foundation.

Your support will ensure that the Boulé Foundation contributes to academic excellence, public policy and social action on behalf of African Americans and other people of color.

All Archons and Archousai are eligible to join the Boulé Foundation’s Legacy Programs.
